Aqua Affinity removes the mining-speed penalty you normally take underwater — without it, mining with your head submerged takes 5 times as long as on dry land.

## What Aqua Affinity actually does

Normally, mining any block while your head is underwater takes 5x as long as the same block out of water. Aqua Affinity fully negates that penalty, restoring full, normal mining speed while submerged. It only has one level — there's no stronger version to chase.

## How to use it

Aqua Affinity is essential for any underwater building or mining project — ocean monument farms, underwater bases, coral/sea-floor collection. Without it, any real mining underwater is painfully slow regardless of how good your pickaxe's Efficiency is. It pairs naturally with Respiration on the same helmet since they solve different problems (mining speed vs. breath time) with zero overlap or conflict.
