These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of AnvilCalc at anvilcalc.com, its guide pages, its inventory/plan features, and its MCP server at mcp.anvilcalc.com (together, the "Service"), operated by Elmeris LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("Elmeris," "we," "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. The Service
AnvilCalc is a free, browser-based reference tool that computes the cheapest Minecraft anvil combine order for a given item and set of enchantments, lets you keep track (locally, in your own browser) of books and items you own, and exposes the same calculations to AI agents over the Model Context Protocol. No account is required or offered, and there is no paid tier.
2. Not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft
AnvilCalc is an independent, unofficial fan tool. It is not produced, endorsed, sponsored, or specifically approved by Mojang Studios, Microsoft, or any of their affiliates. "Minecraft" is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB / Microsoft; any reference to it on this site is purely descriptive, for the purpose of identifying the game the calculator's numbers apply to. Item icons are fan-made assets from the open-source PrismarineJS project, used here the same way many similar community calculators do.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or the infrastructure it runs on (including automated scraping at a volume that degrades the Service for others — the MCP server exists precisely so agents don't need to scrape the site).
- Misrepresent AnvilCalc as an official Mojang/Microsoft product, or as your own work.
- Use the Service to build a product that misleads users about its source or affiliation.
4. No accounts; your own data
There are no user accounts. Any inventories, saved plans, or preferences you create exist only in your own browser's local storage (see our Privacy Policy for detail) — you're solely responsible for backing up anything you want to keep (e.g. via the "Export to file" feature) before clearing your browser's data, switching devices, or switching browsers.
5. Intellectual property
The AnvilCalc name, site design, and original written content (guides, this page, etc.) belong to Elmeris LLC. The underlying game mechanics the calculator models belong to Mojang/Microsoft, as do any Minecraft trademarks. Item/material icons are used under the PrismarineJS project's own open-source terms, linked above.
6. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party infrastructure — Cloudflare for hosting, and Google Analytics for anonymous usage analytics (see our Privacy Policy). Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' own terms where applicable. The MCP server implements the Model Context Protocol, an open specification not controlled by Elmeris.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE MAKE NO GUARANTEE THAT ANY CALCULATION IS FREE OF ERROR, THAT IT WILL MATCH THE RESULT OF ANY SPECIFIC IN-GAME ACTION IN EVERY EDGE CASE, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR AVAILABLE AT ANY GIVEN TIME. IT'S A FREE REFERENCE TOOL, PROVIDED ON A BEST-EFFORT BASIS — ALWAYS USE YOUR OWN JUDGMENT BEFORE COMMITTING VALUABLE IN-GAME RESOURCES.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ELMERIS LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ANY LOSS OF LOCALLY STORED INVENTORY OR PLAN DATA, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. BECAUSE THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO $0.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Elmeris LLC harmless from any claim or demand arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision; continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Availability and termination
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service (including the MCP server) at any time, without notice, since it is offered free of charge with no service-level commitment.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
