Early game (27)
Craft iron tools and a full set of iron armor without killing a single hostile mob. Wall them out, outrun them or sleep through them, but never land the final hit.
Survival · Medium
Stay inside the chunk you spawned in until you own an iron pickaxe and a bow. Use the chunk-border overlay (F3+G on Java) or your coordinates to keep to the line.
Survival · Hard
Survive seven in-game days without ever sleeping in a bed. Every night you must be doing something useful: mining, farming or building by torchlight.
Survival · Medium
Reach diamond depth without ever mining the block under your feet. Every descent is a staircase, a ramp or a ladder shaft dug from the side.
Survival · Medium
Eat only bread until you have found diamonds. No cooked meat, no berries, no golden carrots; if you are hungry, farm more wheat.
Survival · Medium
Live above the ground for your first three in-game days: sleep, craft and smelt in a tree. You may descend only to gather something you cannot reach from above.
Survival · Medium
Do not leave the biome you spawned in until you hold a full set of iron armor and a bow. If something essential is missing, you may make a single supply run and then return.
Survival · Hard
Do not craft any sword or axe until you have crafted a shield. Until then, fight with whatever tool you happen to hold and block everything you can.
Survival · Medium
Make your first house, storage room and farm fence entirely from wood, and do not use a single block of stone or dirt for walls. Spend a day collecting enough logs first.
Survival · Easy
You may only craft the next tool tier once your current tool of that type has broken. No early upgrades, no spares in the chest.
Survival · Hard
Get all the iron for your first full armor set from caves and ravines you explored on foot, with no digging a branch mine. Follow the cave, never your own tunnel.
Survival · Hard
Build a working animal pen with at least two kinds of animals and a crop field before you make your first weapon. Your tools stay tools until the farm is running.
Survival · Easy
Gather your first six logs using only your hands, then do the whole first night inside a dugout shelter. You may craft with those logs but not with anything else until morning.
Survival · Easy
Map an entire cave system without placing a single torch. Mark your path another way (signs, colored wool, a trail of cobblestone pillars) and find your way back out.
Survival · Hard
Every day, be standing at your base by sunset. If you are caught outside, the next morning you start the day by repairing or reinforcing something you were too late for.
Survival · Easy
Build your first base within sight of water and take your food only from the sea and shore: fish, kelp, and whatever you can pick up on the beach.
Survival · Medium
In a new hardcore world, reach a full set of iron armor within three in-game days, without a bed and without a shield. One death ends the run.
Survival · Extreme
Set a timer for ten real minutes and build a finished, furnished house in it. When the timer rings, put your tools down.
Creative · Easy
Build a statue of any mob using only three different block types. Make it at least ten blocks tall.
Creative · Easy
Pick a random color from the wool palette and build a house where every block is a shade of it. Accent with one contrasting block type only.
Creative · Easy
Build a small room with three doors where only one is the way out, and the other two lead to a trap that resets itself.
Creative · Medium
Build a hopper item sorter that sends four different item types from one input chest into four separate chests, with no leaks when you pour in a mixed stack.
Creative · Hard
Build a house using only three different block types, one of which must be a block you rarely use.
Either mode · Easy
Build a safe, lit shelter big enough for a bed and two chests in under five real minutes. A timer, no cheating.
Either mode · Easy
Build a house with no wall longer than four blocks in a straight line. Curves, towers and angles only.
Either mode · Medium
Build a house that is a perfect mirror image left to right, and put one deliberate mistake in it for a friend to find.
Either mode · Medium
