How to Use AnvilCalc: Calculator, Inventory and Sharing Guides
AnvilCalc turns a target item and a list of enchantments into the cheapest order to combine them at an anvil. These guides cover the tool itself: how to pick an item and its enchantments, how to choose between the Min XP and Min prior work objectives, and how to read the combine order the calculator hands back. The guides also explain how the Java and Bedrock rulesets differ, which changes some costs, so you can pick the edition you actually play before trusting a number.
Once the basics click, the inventory guides show how to record the books and items you actually own so that plans use what you already have, and how to back an inventory up to a file or move it to another device.
The sharing guides explain how to send a finished plan or an inventory as a link, and what a link does and does not contain. If you only read one page, start with the calculator walkthrough, then come back for the rest when you need them. Every guide links back into the calculator, so you can follow a walkthrough with the tool open next to it.
